
BISHOP LAMBERT W. GATES, SR. serves as the presiding bishop of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith International and senior pastor of the multicampus Kingdom Apostolic Ministries. His leadership as one pastor shepherding multiple congregations reflects the expansive nature of his divine calling. An exceptional teacher of the Word of God, he is also an internationally recognized speaker whose ministry is in high demand. He is the president of L. W. Gates Ministries, which is the foundation for the churches, ministries, and programs under his calling. Bishop Gates holds a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Prior to entering full-time ministry, he taught English at Osborn High School in Detroit. He is the author of several influential works, including The Holy Addiction; The Loud, the Proud, and the Rebellious; Drawing Them In or Driving Them Away? and The Shepherd’s Guidebook. He is married to Nancy Franklin Gates, and they have two sons, Lambert W. Gates, Jr. and Cameron Gates, and two grandchildren.
